A Sip of Summer

 

While I fully recognize, and am working to accept, the fact that summer is not coming back until next year I can’t help but make feeble attempts at recreating it.

At 77 calories, 76% of your daily Vitamin C and 20% of your daily Manganese, you can’t go wrong!

Summery Strawberry Limeade

2 c frozen unsweetened strawberries
1 c ice
1 c apple juice unsweetened*
2 T fresh mint
1 lime juiced

Blend all in blender. Garnish with mint to make it pretty and ask someone to serve it to you. ;)

*Juice…is a tricky thing. The apple juice I used was made in the Vitamix made from whole apples and water. I can’t seem to get behind a product that says “No Sugar Added” and contains vague ingredients like “Natural Flavors”.
