The Diet

What I eat varies as often as the seasons. Consistently my grocery bill is 60% produce each week. I mainly consume a plethora of fruit and veggies and variety is the spice of life! Here are some example meals and recipes.


  • Smoothie – I have one every day and for lunch or afternoon snack as well
  • Muesli – occasionally I’ll have this for a quick breakfast and it’s great for guests
  • Fruit – when I travel and don’t have a blender fresh fruit is my go-to meal
  • Supplements –  I do take a few select vitamins daily like Vitamin D, spirulina, fish oil, and occassionally zinc, magnesium, B-6 and B-12


  • Fruit – cherries, apples, strawberries, peaches – basically whatever is in season
  • Lara bar (purchased) – any variety without chocolate which has processed sugar
  • Smoothie – great portable nutritious lunch or snack
  • Salad – rather than leaving me feeling tired and bloated, salads satisfy me, especially if I make my own dressing
  • Kale Apple Salad – portable salad eaten as a meal or a side
  • Carrot Apple or Chicken Noodle Soup – particularly in the winter we always have soup on hand for lunch or dinner
